powerchamber whale penis installation questions

hey guys my password JDM powerchamber whale penis for a 98 GSR is shipped and im going to be installing it shortly and i am a total noob to installing things. This is going to be my first bolt on ever lol and to someone who could help me or someone that has this intake Any tips to installing? does it have directions to installing? What tools should i have ready? and anything i should know? and if u really want to a nice little tutorial would be amazing!

CORNER CARVER
should have directions...all you will need really is prolly a 8, 10, 12, and 14mm sockets w/ a ratchet and some screwdrivers

I've never installed one of those before, but I've gone through many cold airs and short intakes and usually you can just complete the installation with just a ratchet or a flat head. Most of the ones I've done didn't come with any directions but it's very easy to install and it's obvious how to install them just by looking at it.

^ don't hate. at least he asked... I know a guy who completely fucked up his car trying to install an intake.... tho the kid was a complete retard.

bump... help to someone who has installed one... i have 2 questions and i need to put it in by tomarow morning!!! This is like an emergency and i really cant mess this up..

1.) What is this and where does this go?




2.) Which little black rubber thing do i use to put in the intake? and which way does it go in? And Where does this little peice of metal go? and which way? and what do i do with the other rubber things that doesnt go into the intake?




3.) Do i have to separate these two pipes? how does this work? the intake came with like a black tube or a hose this go over this top tube? or both tubes? do i have to take one of the tubes out? whats the process here.?

it might not clear the strut bar just so you know. then again i dont have the stock intake mani also u dont need that bracket thing they intake weighs almost nothing and can rest on the AC lines mine hasevent even shown any signs of burning where it meets he ac lines like my aem sri did. just try all the little black grommes depending on weather your gonna run the pvc hose to it or not.

so do i rip out the metal pipe thing and jsut use the hose? i am so confused about that part...the little rubber things are of my choise to decide which one to use?

unfortunitly when i ordered mine they gave me the GSR one not the type R one...or atleast the one for GSR's with upright mani's, it jsut fits but urks me evertime i see someone with the unslanted one.
