I saw this G1 MR2 about 45 minutes ago on my way home. It had some graphics on the sides, lowered, shitty wheels, and a huge ass shopping cart rear wing. Didn't have my camera in hand. Would have been a great pic to post up.

This is so true man. My Wife's grandfather will tell you that there has always been the big difference between the east and west coast trends. Back then everyone would chrome everything out on their 60 chevys over here on the east but if you went out west it was all about functionality. The guys would buy their 60 chevys and fords new and remove all the chrome as soon as they got it home. They wanted the clean functional looks. It has always been around, more tailored to certain areas but it's always been here, now it's just grown because people have finally come to realize how good it works. I've grown up around cars and i've seen the trends come and go and I have to say that right now we are in one of the best periods in my lifetime so far when it comes to car tuning and modification. The trend today works and it works good and it could stay forever for all I care. Sorry but poorly put together turbo kits and body kits and lights that don't fit or work correctly are a thing of the past.
