That's not necessarily true. It may be true if you're talking about buying things from eBay, but generally the aftermarket offers better parts. Hell, look at all the "aftermarket" engine parts. ARP head studs. Do you think those are inferior to the OEM head bolts?

And something like a tail light.. well I just can't see it being much inferior. Its a piece of plastic, it's not a bulletproof vest.

I said its the case in MOST parts.
Out of most Head bolts are there more inferior aftermarket ones or superior aftermarket head bolts?

I know the exceptions. We're talking about tail lights here.
Tap on the plastic with your knuckle on the OEM and then the Aftermarket.
Which one feels of a better quality?

if anything, youre better off getting a new set of aftermarket tail lights (mainly find them on ebay.com). its hard to try to find a matching replacement since theres so many options for tail lights.

It seems like everyone thinks something is rice, might as well make it look how you want and ignore what others say.

If someone doesn't like something about your car, they will call it rice. It's a ridiculous standard you shouldn't worry about.

Something that looks good to you may not look good to someone else..

And no Cripton, in most cases that's NOT true. If a company selling aftermarket parts can't keep up with OEM, they won't be around. Plastic is plastic man. Like I said I tail light isn't meant to be indestructible. OEM tails can break too.

doesn't matter ether way, my dad makes both for most companies like hummer and Volvo. like he said, plastic is plastic, but you also get what you pay for. you buy cheap, they'll probably be cheap quality, but you never know what you'll find out there.
