StrategyOn March 11, 2005, Al-Quds Al-Arabi published extracts from Saif al-Adel's document "Al Quaeda's Strategy to the Year 2020".[38][39] Abdel Bari Atwan summarizes this strategy as comprising five stages:

1.Provoke the United States into invading a Muslim country.
2.Incite local resistance to occupying forces.
3.Expand the conflict to neighboring countries, and engage the U.S. in a long war of attrition.
4.Convert Al-Qaeda into an ideology and set of operating principles that can be loosely franchised in other countries without requiring direct command and control, and via these franchises incite attacks against countries allied with the U.S. until they withdraw from the conflict, as happened with the 2004 Madrid train bombings, but which did not have the same effect with the 7 July 2005 London bombings.
5.The U.S. economy will finally collapse under the strain of too many engagements in too many places, similarly to the Soviet war in Afghanistan, Arab regimes supported by the U.S. will collapse, and a Wahhabi Caliphate will be installed across the region.

LOLUMAD?
Since Osama is finally "dead", maybe we should think about removing our military personnel from Afghanistan and Iraq now.

"Yes, we finally got him, but we had to borrow and print trillions of dollars over nearly a decade and there are no signs of our military spending slowing down. The success of killing Bin Laden could potentially be used as an excuse to increase military spending to all new record highs. The purchasing power of the U.S. dollar is crashing to new all time lows on a daily basis.
The U.S. military captured Bin Laden in Pakistan using a special team comprised of about two dozen navy seals. In other words, the trillions we have spent fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were all for nothing. We could have captured Bin Laden without our operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and have much smaller annual budget deficits and a much lower national debt today, with a much stronger U.S. dollar."

We especially do not belong in Libya. They are not a threat to us. Let NATO take care of that country.

To the ones who haven't served in the military or have no clue what goes on in these countries you should lay off. First off, those trillions of dollars have also helped bring wounded service members home, protect Iraqi and Afghanistan citizens equip our troops , and repair our equipment which has been damaged by I.E.D's. Simply pulling out our troops will be more detrimental than you think. I'm a decorated vet myself and i deff take offense to what you are saying. I have seen taliban roll up and kidnap women and children (prob torturing them or beating them to not talk to us or to give Intel about them) and dropped off beaten and bloody a day or two later. Media doesn't tell you that huh? To sit there and say our military is the reason we are in debt cause we could have smaller operations which would cut or annual budget deficits is insane, "The trillions we have spent have been All for nothing" you have no idea what your even saying. How dare you sir! you complain about a organization that is sworn to protect you as a American and you spit on them in a forum saying its there fault? you state we could have captured bin Laden without operations in Iraq and Afghanistan yet majority of high value targets were killed in Iraq. I think I'm done you can reply or not this thread is absolutely dead to me now... its just not worth my time.

Osama finally dead is an accomplishment, but the war in terror is still at hand. We must continue fighting. War will never end as long humans are living in the world. One thing for sure is that al Qaeda will plan some sort of revenge. The U.S. must prepare for anything.

actually has an FB6 now.
hahahahahahaha.

seriously. i got a lot of work done with the PSN down. i got around to cleaning my closet, room and even vacuuming my car.

on a more serious note, i'm literally watching CNN Newsroom right now and a lot of politicians/reporters/analysts claim for the US to be prepared in the near future for an attack by Al-Qaeda. really crazy stuff.

Agreed. +1 to you for super logic sir. We NEED to fund our troops in Afghanistan and have them stay there. We caused a mess by funding the Afghans for fighting against the Soviet Union, but led them astray after the Cold War was said and done. That's the reason why the Al-Qaeda turned to such turmoil, and we still have to patch all that is left of what we had destroyed. This is OUR problem that WE caused, and we did not just waltz into Afghanistan with no particular reasoning. This was the underlying reason that Bush failed to mention (cuz he was a dumbass from the get-go).

Super win dude. Hahaha :rolf:
