i never really thought about putting collection jars at places. i'll contact the local car shops....
speaking of which...a lot of local people in the car scene have helped me out before. last april there was supposed a pretty large benefit cruise in/dyno day at two different car shops here in Cincy. Raceline was having the dyno day, donating all of the money to me. they also had a junk car you could wack the hell out of for 5 bucks...and a donation box. after that was over at 5, the cruise-in moved to Zerolift. donations were going to be taken there too. unfortunately weather wasn't the best and it had to be rescheduled...what sucks is that it never got rescheduled.
other than that, another shop helped me out when my accident happened raising the money i needed for a hospital bed.
again, thanks to anybody that donates!!!

We had a meet in my area that charged $1, they used it to pay for raffles and shit. Honestly who doesnt mind giving up a dollar. Maybe you could host a meet. :what: That meet had a 250ish car turnout.

I dont think youre wrong. Things happen to people, and you were an unlucky person. Personally, I wouldnt worry bout tryin over the internet. Id try things more local. Seems like people over the interent dont trust ads like this, because there are alot of scammers ( not sayin you are). I dont know your personal life but if youre in good with a shop or two, set something up with them. Shops are usually very willing to help out someone in the scene.

i need to do somethin' like that...but i have no idea at how to go about it.
i just get discouraged about asking for money because it's been more than 2 years since my accident. i feel like i should just quit trying to get people to help since it's been so long. and i know theres somebody else who needs money more than i do.... sometimes i feel like i should quit whining too...
i'll ask a local shop and let you guys know what they say.
