Just get an autometer off ebay... Think the mecanical ones are like 30 and the electric ones are 60... If you want get a T and actually install the gauge. It always come in handy! Just make sure you dont need a BSB Or BSP pipe threadtake your old pressure sensor with you and get everything you need.

heck i bought a cheap-o oil pressure tester at harbor freight for 10 bux. I just got done having this problem, I would try removing and repairing your ICU. its a control unit mounted to the back of your fuse panel and one of the functions it controls is the oil light. Mine was bad and had some leaky capacitors on it and it was causing my oil light to come on. Search around for "ICU repair" its a pretty easy fix and very cheap to do it.
I would try that.
