The tranny im going to use for a few months is a 5 speed and my really tranny will be a 5 speed with a 5.0 final drive LSD

why not type r tranny?
you get 6spd and you still can use the lsd.
plus the FD isn't too bad. and besides, having a bit of a lower rev would be nice to just cruise in.

The 6speed ITR is going to be way too short of gears. So if use a base 5spd rsx tranny with 5.0 FD is just barely longer then a rsx-s 6 speed but shorter then the ITR 6 speed so which will give me better gearing and and alittle bit a cruising gear
