I think if your fenders are rolled you should be ok. I would be more concerned about it rubbing from lock to lock rather than on the fender itself. However, that depends on your offset. If you are 20-35 offset you should be ok I believe. I had 225/45/15 on 15x7 rotas with a 40 offset and even they didn't rub. So I think with 16x7 youll be safe in the sub 35 range.

the tire will be way taller than what you run, nick. that might cause an issue in my mind. I know i cant fit a 225/50

I am aware how tire sizes work sir. How do you know you can't fit that size? Have you physically put it on and tested it? If you did where was it rubbing and what were the wheel specs.

If mother fuckers can fit 17's and even 18's. You can fit those tires with the right alignment and set up. Just saying.
