i just put rubber washers inbetween the hood and the mount. its an old school way to lower temp under the hood:lol:

does it affect opening the hood or anything like that?

He does take good pics, I want to upgrade to a D80 this year. The D40 isn't cutting it, but I will try getting more pics with it first.

Then I will probably go on more shoots with him, need to hone skills in a little bit first.
