nitrous on road race?

Also I would think it would get to be expensive having to fill the tank after every race.

Personally I would only do nitrous for drag (if I even did it then). For a track all motor is the best way, then supercharged, turbo.

Not really. My car likes to pull double duty, so nitrous makes sense for me. All of this is obviously based in proper tuning. Nitrous is still a bit unpredictable and hard to dial-in with, but if you don't give a fuck about brackets, it's a more than viable option

well just depends how often you spray it and how long you spray it, i thought about doing a high compression lsv build with a 100 shot for the occasional drag strip and and if i ever wanted to use it on a road course. but with working at a dealership its hard to get any saturdays off for track days since thats the most common day for racing, so i decided im gonna build a 450whp street machine to eat american pos cars:)

Also let's not forget. when you run out that's it, you lost the power until you fill it up again.

Most people bring a few bottles to the track. Running with low pressure isn't good for the engine

Not sure if this guy ever uses his car on the track, but there is a built FD RX-7 in my area that has a Zex kit on it. The car is pretty much a racecar. The rotary engine + gigantic turbo + lot of nitrous = one fast mothaf***er.

I know someone local with a ZEX nitrous kit in his gto and this dude doesn't have a bottle warmer and pulls out a torch and just starts heating it up with it. Is that shit even safe? Idk nothin about nitrous.

that guy is a DUMBASS!! dont ever do that! hah thats sooo bad! if you ever run nitrous always use a bottle warmer, the torch is a redneck thing!

I couldn't find any better pics of the engine bay. The turbo is big enough to actually devour small children. It's got a full roll cage, buckets and harnesses, no dashboard...I don't think there is a single Mazda component in the interior of that car. The guy wears earmuffs whenever he drives it. I think it's the spec RX-7 front bumper.
