ok, well first off (not to go off on you, this to everyone) i'm sick of everyone basing a turbo on how much boost they want to run. its going to be completely differerernt for each turbo, for turbo is going to flow more then another turbo, you can base a power goal around psi, you have to base it off a power goal, but if your only looking for 250, you'll have no problem making them, if i was you i would shot for a little more but thats me. 300 is about the safe limit on stock internals, but when would you like to hit full boost is another thing to think about.

^ x2. But when people talk about turbos, the first question is: "How much psi are you running" so everyone gets stuck on a psi number they want to run. When it should be the opposite. Build your car and tune around what power you want, not the psi you want... (well, it should be a delicate balance of the two)

To answer his previous questions, i've got a pretty damn big (for a 1.8liter) turbo on mine and it hits full boost around 4000-4500 i beleive, and i'm only pushing 5psi....

If you want quick spool up, you can retro-fit a 16G turbo to your manifold, or a GT28 disco potato turbo. Those have nice spool characteristics and still make plenty of power.
