Just wanted to introduce myself and say hey to everyone and also pick your brains about something.
About 6 months ago i bought a '90 Acura Integra LS automatic. It has 225k miles on it with original trans and motor but it had a cold air intake, aftermarket cooling fan, and coilovers. Over the next year or so I will be doing work on the car as I get money and am able to. This is a DD for me so I'm not looking for too fast but I want something that can keep up with the person in the next lane if I'm in the mood for it. I'm pretty new to cars in general but I've always wanted a project car and I know a few people that will help install stuff.
Basically the first thing I wanted to do is a trans swap with a short throw shifter. I was trying to get a parts list together for the stuff i would need and was wondering if you guys could help me out with it. I've found plenty of guides on how to do it I'm just still a little unclear on the parts. My budget for swap is around 1200 or so. Any help would be great and I'm pretty excited about getting this rolling.
After the trans swap is the engine rebuild.
