New to CI and modding in general.

Hello all. I got a 2001 GS-R M/T a few moths ago as my first car!!! A few weeks ago I decided to get a CAI for it and now i have gotten addicted, and I am saving up for new header/high flow cat/exhaust.
I want more low to mid range power in my teg so I was going to get a 4-2-1 header with a 2.25" high flow cat with a DC Sports exhaust. Am I on the right track here?
Also I was going to wait and get the header/cat/exhaust all at the same time. Is that necessary? Or since I have enough money for either the header/cat or the exhaust/cat should i go ahead and get one of those and then just save up for the one part i dont buy?

Let me be the first to Welcome you to the insane world of C.I.! I can't answer your questions like you want, b/c I own a G2, but anyone of the psychos oughtta be able to lend an ear... Post pics of the ride man!

I'll post some pics once i get a new painted passenger side rear view mirror. Haha.

welcome to the club... first off 2001GS-R.... wow man you got the last of its breed. first off... PROTECT that shit... security mods comes first... no point of modding a car if its gonna get stolen later on... integra's are the most TOP TEN STOLEN CARS, and they appear on that list probably @ least 4 times... ranging from different years. so yea thieves love your shit, and you wanna keep your shit away from them.

but yea if you're gonna upgrade your header, its a good idea to do the pipping, cat, and the exhaust @ the same time, less time, trouble, and hassle later on. you dont have to as long as they all BOLT UP. knowing DC SPORTS, they're a good manufacturer and most if not all their stuff bolts up to your oem pipping. so you can go header and exhaust, then save up for the cat and pipping. by the way i suggest getting STAINLESS STEEL cause ceramic sucks ass.

surf around the site and get a better feel to integras, most of your questions have probably already been asked and answered, if not then make a post in the right threads. so yea... WELCOME to the site and post pics of your ride... :thumbs up

Sounds like a good H/C/E setup for your goal.
If you have the money, do it all at once. You'll save some money having it all installed together.

Did you know that 2001 was the only year Honda put out silver GSR's? Lucky bastard, lol. :)
