New Speakers all around, any suggestions?

Hey, I'm looking to replace all the speakers in my 99 LS coupe (2 x 6.5 inch speakers in the front doors w/2 x tweeters and 2 x 6.5 inch speakers in the rear). I assume that I can get a set of component speakers for the front doors (speaker and tweeter) and a seperate set of 6.5 speakers for the rear. I'm looking for clean sound with a high bass output since I really don't think I want a sub in such a small car, but I'm open to suggestions. So what are people workin with around here?

I dont know about you....but i like to match all my stuff. I have a JVC MP3 head unit, so i replaced my speakers with JVC 6 1/2's all around.....I dont like tweeters...they ring in my head for some reason so i didnt replace those. I dont have the specs on my speakers right now but i think they are 200watts

Yeah, I guess I should mention that I have a Kenwood head unit with an active Sirius subscription, and as on my last car I do prefer to match my stuff up as well, but I am open to any suggestions. And as for the tweeters I can go either way.

focal...all the way...focal is the best, like u said u dont want a sub but you want bass? then focal is ur answer...i went to carboys, CHILD i think you kno wat i'ma talkin bout, the one of hwy 6? anyways..i went inside the booth, and the dude turn on the focals, put a sound on..damn you can feel the bass, u dont even need subs, but they are a pretty penny. focal is exactly wat ur looking for

yeah man go focal "poly glass" those are the sexy ones :)... i like mb-quart too but hay to all their own .. how much you looking to spend :) thats the real question !! :twisted: i got a sub in my teg that shit rocks its like i got a vibrator in my seats ...lol

yo try either JL Audio Interiors or Alpine....those r top of the line interior speakers...not to mention dat JL audio is also top of the line for subs....i personally have to Soundstream 12" subs and those fuckers make my eyes bounce to da point dat i cant look at da tailights of da car in front of me cuz there bouncin too lol.....but i personally love bass but yea i have to get interiors also cuz mine were blown when i bought da car so i might go wit alpine or JL.

INFINITY for clarity and JL for bass.
Infinity = [ Kappa > Reference ]
JL = [ V2 > V1 ]

I think Infinity are probably the best for clarity like SilverDB8 said.

I do want to replace all the speakers with JL Audio when I get a sub or two.

u might be right b/c i neva heard the infinity's before but let me tell u somethin my boy has JL's all around for interiors and dat to me sounds as clear as u can get. dats what made me decide to wanna get dem. also alpine is one of da best for interior and polk audio.
