New here, needing some help with my 93

well i think that ima try to look into the fuel pump relay cause my buddy just bought one today and it went out right away. and it was doing the same thing that mine does. just cranks and doesnt fire up. im almost positive that its not the fuel pump cause i know when it goes bad its bad for good. the only other thing i can think of is either that relay, the fuel filter is clogged, bad O2 sensor, or bad injectors. but i dont really know which one of those would only work sometimes... other than that i dont know how to check if im for sure getting fuel. which sould i check first?

relay, check with a known good one. like out of a running car. i really doubt the 02 wouldnt let it start... so check the relay first. always start with the easy stuff. gottta drop the tank to check the pump thatsa why

well yeah i know to start with the easy stuff first. and thats what ive been doing the whole time and its been about $200 on just replacing all the parts that were thought to be broken. but i have to have it fixed asap for a trip back to MICHIGAN...

could be fuel pump or even your entire distributor. mine did pretty much the same thing and it was my dizzy plugs and wires. you may have to boost for an entirely new distributor. horsepowerfreaks.com has the oem acura one for our cars for only like 100 bucks. hope this helps.

well everything has been replaced as far as the dizzy except for the actual assembly. and it has gone out on me b4 a few years ago and it was nothing at all like what is going on right now. and i know its not the fuel pump cause like i said b4 it works when its cool out but not when its hot. just as if the main relay was bad. but i already replaced that too.

well i called the acura dealership here in jax today and i was told that its not the main relay... its the FUEL main relay that causes that problem quite often. so ima try that now that i have almost an entirly new dizzy. and a battery. iam have to give that a whirl. ill let everyone know what happens!
