My civic and i aren't going anywhere...well, at least I'm not going anywhere. I'm hoping to find the GSR I want, but I might have to settle for an LS sedan due to finances, but I really think in the long run I should just get the GSR to begin with. It will be a sedan no matter what.

just as an update, i sold the civic for $3100 and can't decided on what to do (in total i have just over $5000). Think i should save up and get a nicer one, or get a crapper right now? I'll be at UT Austin and I won't need a car, though I know I'll want one.

well the civic is officially sold. I am carless and in the market for a nice integra (though I've broadened my horizons). It doesn't have to be fast. It does need 4 doors and a manual transmission. hopefully i can become a much more active part of this site. that said, if anyone knows of a 4 door ls (or gsr) that's stock or damn close, let me know.

anything else? common rust spots? common leaks?
I've had a couple of issues with mine that are common.

The radiator will go out around 100k miles. It's usually a leak. This is good for a upgrade, but it's easier just to replace it.

The power antenna is shit. Replace it whether or not its working with a "S2000 Style" like I did. $37.

Depends on mileage, but the timing belt should be replaced about 60 - 80k miles. I do mine at 60k intervals to make sure.

The only rust I had to deal with is the rear fenderwells and that was on our '88 Integra. The only reason it had rust is because it was up in Ohio when it snowed and they use salt on the roads.

If you got any questions or anything don't hesitate to ask in this thread or PM me.

Yore looking for a 4dr teg right?, DB8 is the chassis name for the 3rd gen 4dr, DC2 and DC4's are 3rd gen 2dr tegs, like EG or EK, By the way the pics arent working :(
Isn't the DB8 for 4 door GS-R's and the DB7 is the LS model.

The insurance is higher on GS-Rs rather than LS, GS, RS's.

Hey everyone. I'm new to Integra but not to Honda. I've driven a 95 Civic Dx with a JDM D15 vtec for about 2 years but it's time to upgrade. I've always liked Integras and I really want a car that I dont need to spend a lot of time or money on in order to have decent performance. That being said, I'm leaning towards an Integra GSR sedan. I'll be scouring the internet and this site until i find one to my liking. I hope it's soon. oh, and by the way, nice site.
Welcome to club Integra... Don't mind half these fools, they take shit like Adavan, Ritland, and some of them prozacs, but all in all, half these shits are alright with me! Nice hatch BTW!

On the note of finding a GSR, what should i look for in a used integra? any chronic problems?
Get a 2nd Gen GSR... Leaks, you'd probably find one near the base of the windshield, where clips go bad over time... Let's water in, and onto the passenger floor... Other than that, timing and shit... Take a look see at myspace link on my sig, check out the photo slideshow... I bought mine used, and so it's gone a LONG ASS way for what it was when I bought it... But it's definitely been worth it!

Once again, welcome!

the rs doesnt have abs, power locks, or a sunroof. If your going to get a non-vtec id say get an rs. Its lighter and it doesnt have that ugly abs box to crowd up the bay.

goodluck finding a 4dr gsr, somehow ive been able to find and buy 2 of them, but they are really hard to come by. 4drs alone are kind of rare, let alone gsr models. ive owned 2 civics and a del sol before, and the teg is a GREAT upgrade even if its completely stock
