Don't buy it from a big retailer or amything lile that. Buy them off forums because either way you're getting it used. I see them go for $500 all the time now.

Safety issue in an accident would be my guess. The conversion replaces the bumper reinforcement and the foam on it is removed completely.

you can use usdm bumper reinforcement for jdm front. just needs a little cutting.
