Need some help to pass SMOG!!

I read a thread recently on ClubIntegra of a guy who was having issues with passing smog and needed help with passing smog.

I am also in Cali, but I KNOW I will NEVER pass smog.

My car has a::

S300 hondata which = No pass
No Cat which = no pass
Custom Headers = No pass
Frankenstein (aka poor man's type R) set-up which = NO PASS

S300 for someone reason never registers with the Smog guys
No Cat is a no brainer. That's normal regulation.
Custom Headers is not a big deal, but if inspected would not pass for it
Frankenstein set-up means I am running an engine that should not be in the cars engine bay which means no pass.

So I'm definitely failing it.

For 4 years I have been passing smog by just paying a guy. Unfortunately, my guy stopped doing it at the worst time. Right when I was about to get mine done.

I know what you're thinking, it sounds like a personal problem and it is, but I'm putting myself out there in hopes that someone can PM me a number to call or a guy to contact. I understand if you don't want to reply in the comment section, but at least send me a message. Any help in that direction would be huge guys.

No Cat which = no pass...yup...

Custom Headers = No pass...not necessarily. Really depends how picky the smog guy is. I've never had a guy ask for carb numbers.

Frankenstein (aka poor man's type R) set-up which = NO PASS...again, no totally true...depends on the smog guy & how aware he is of these things.

hahha even my car wont pass emissions but im not dumb enough to go out on the internet asking for someone to do a false inspection, if you have such a problem passing smog in cali maybe you should try getting it bard, i new a guy with a gsr swapped coupe that could pass smog all day, but luckily for me im in texas where i dont have to worry about smog crap, safety only

Wow! Not sure if I would call me dumb, maybe desperate and hopeful that I'm surrounded by others who have come across this same issue that could help. But dumb would be the furthest thing.

High five for Texas! They don't even look my car over. The place I go walks out, slaps on the sticker, I pay and leave.

As for the cali smog situation...how did you find your last guy? Try that again lol.
If you have friends who own rice boxes as well, ask them. Maybe *try* a local forum.
Usually the best way to find guys is to know somebody who knows somebody who knows a guy who passed his uncles cousin's car.

First, your "GUY"was being tagged...The state was on to his little operation and if caught, his certification/ license would have been void and revoked...Its more work to do it illegally than legally for him. This is cali..The DMV already gets smog cert's through e-mail...so probably the state was curious as to why your smog cert never comes through email...

second, get rid of your ride or replace EVERYTHING, engine, headers, for god's sake, A "CAT", ECU...

Third, If you don't want to do above, THEN GO TO THE STATE REFEREE....if you don't pass there, see point #2 again...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the state ref can deem your vehicle, Not street legal therefore can take your car away and "JUNK" it.....I've heard horror stories from the past...

I've had the same problem with my car and my state which is strict. Pretty much you have to find some guy who knows a guy who will take the risk for you so you can pay him some good cash to pass your ride.

If you can't and you really want to pass it, might hurt, but you might have to change everything back to get it to pass. Get a cat! one that will definitely pass not a cheapy brand. change your headers back. pretty much retune back to stock. pass it. then tune it back to however you want. replace parts. Only way. It's not passing right now because its not a normal everyday soccer mommy street legal car. you have a cat-less tuned on s300 race car, why do you wonder its not passing..? Tune it back or find a guy.

you definitely want a stock cat for this, and keep it around so every year you can just put it back on to get it inspected and pass. then remove again. since it's a "smog/emissions" test. that cat plays a role. having none will never pass.

oh and theres even this liquid solution that'll kind of force pass and ignore the check engine light or prevent it from lighting up i forget the name. doesnt always work though, it will still pop back up, its just to pass it really quick.
