need help with stripped flywheel bolts

how bad are they? 6 point socket and a impact will get it if not too bad

They're 12 point bolts if I recall. A six point socket will slip.

could i jb weld another nut to the bolt?

they have specail sockets for this. like 25 bucks and you will use them more than once i promise

Special sockets? What do you mean?

And no, I doubt JB weld will hold up to that torque. Try a wrench.. maybe do what Jason said and use a dremel to smooth off the edges to make more of a grip. Make sure your using the right size socket. Are we talking about the 17mm bolt?

they have sockets by irwin they get off rounded bolts there like 25 bucks and work amazingly

i had to shave the bolts into a hex head though. im 2 for 2 at the moment.

yea thats them you dont need a vice socket. all you do is get the size smaller than the bolt and you will have to like hammer it on and it cuts into the bolt and lets it come off ive used mine countless times

Usually I just hammer a socket on that is slightly smaller, but they were short bolt heads, so I just welded a nut to save time lol.

Yea these are 12 point bolts right? Prolly why they are stripped. Someone used a 6 point to try to take it off.
