Need Help with Angel Eye Tail Light Ring Wiring

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I have a 1991 Integra LS that needed new tail lights. So I bought these JDM tail lights with angel eyes that have a red and black wire for the angel eye.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/280881676069?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

I need help figuring out which wires on the tail light harness I splice with the angel eye wires. I don't know which wire on the harness carries enough voltage for the angel eye, and I don't want to go cutting up wires trying to figure it out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

-Mike

Oem lights will save you from having to splice wires and aren't nearly as ghastly

splice them into the wire that turn on the lights when you flip the switch.. or splice them into the brake light lol

When you turn on the running lights (one click) look at your tails and see what ones come on, usually the corner ones, and spice it with those if you want them on without any others. When you have all the lights on they will still be on.
Tat would be my guess, otherwise you can run the wires somewhere else that gets power only when the car is on, say a headunit, cigarette lighter, etc

OEM definitely looks better..

But to answer your question: Whenever you turn on your lights (parking or headlights) the tail light will come on, thus losing the "halo" effect. so you may want to just wire it into something that comes on whenever your car does, or do some kind of DRL set-up. that way, the halo can come on without being drown out when the tail lights are on. there's a DIY DRL thread somewhere on this website that you could look into. you'd need extra wire though because i doubt the halo wire is long enough to do something like that.

Those are NOT jdm. Maybe ebaydm lol. But either splice them in with your taillights or wire them to a separate switch. I know a lot of people who have done it that way. May be the better option depending on how cops are in your area. And if you don't have one already.... invest in a test light. And download some wiring diagrams.

Now when you guys say splice it to the tail light, u mean splice the wire to the tail lights bulb socket?

no, you can just splice it right into the wire itself, you can use one of these (any hardware store, you get like 6 for $5)

how it works is you run the tail light wire through one of the channels, and the halo wire in the other. use pliers to push that metal piece through the wires (it doesnt cut them) ant then fold the top flap over to lock it down. i used them when i had halo headlights

EDIT: they are called quick taps. this is how it looks on the wires before the top flap is closed:
