i never have replaced the battery i bought the car about 6 months ago and it ran great then the fuel pump went out so i replaced that then it ran perfect for anohter 2 months or so then it did this and i think its obd1 and i have no idea if the ecu is hooked up correctly it ran perfect for the guy before me and for me till 2months ago ive been working on it replacing parts and looking up possible problems

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm still saying it could be the battery, or the alternator... Like I said, I'd even check the fuses to make sure there's not a busted one. you know? That's a simple 3 buck fix. Charge up the battery overnight. See if it can hold a charge, if it can... and let's say it doesn't start within a few hours. I'd say that's your problem. Those are the cheap and easier replacements. Before you start looking at your starter etc.

look for broken grounds, maybe the ones near the thermostat
