Who makes a good cost effective manifold? and should I go with a regular log or a individual tube log manifold

Ram Horn or Kooks as is was originally known as is an excellent design. Full-Race makes the best quality manifolds.

whats the difference between a ram horn and a tubular log exhaust manifold? and would you bottom or top mount it?/

Similar rules of NA headers apply. Longer runners breathe better but tend to slow the spool of the turbo. Log manifolds do spool a little better but at the cost of overall power. I would not recommend a log manifold unless you were under a very tight budget. Ram horn is in the middle for spool and power. And long tube manifolds like a top mount, forward facing, or sidewinder will be the most sluggish but make the most power.

Good choice. Buy a good quality manifold and you won't need the warranty.
