My GSR is redlining at 5,000 Rpm

Check all the plugs around the distributor. See that all the wires are in tight.

I checked online for codes and Is either those

P1259
VTEC System Malfunction
P1297
ELD Circuit Low Input
P1298
ELD Circuit High Input

if your getting P1259, i would really take a close look @ the vtec pressure switch and vtec soleniod ...they do go bad. the scan the adv. auto tech did for you only tells you that the pcm was doing it's job, commanding the solenid on/off. it doesn't tell you if the vtec switch or solenoid are working properly or defective.
