how does the B20 run for yu? been wanting to get a b20 opinion from a DB owner like myself. Are you running B20V or just flat out B20? power like getting the highway or to pass adequate? Also any advise/tips/tricks on it or on the swap?
I second this. Ia a B20 WAY better than a LS....

the b20 is a great upgrade over the ls in my opinion. and yes my setup is just a strait b20. my only advice to you when doing the swap is upgrade the intake mannifold. *even the stock ls intake manni is an upgrade. also up grade the cams. and yes, same as the manni, the ls cams are an upgrade over stock b20. ive had many b20 setups. an older one i had in an ef hatch made 155hp 137tq with hytech replica header, crower stage 1 cams, blox intake manni, chipped ecu, and strait through exhaust to a dynamax muffler. not bad for basic bolt ons. with a 50 shot dry added it made 205hp and 199tq. almost as much tq as a friends 350hp b16 turbo. i won alot of races with that setup(includeing turbo cars) and i didnt spend shit. well, hope this helps. happy swapping.:D

oh and as far as highway you dont even have to downshift. when im going over 55 i just give it gas and it goes. i love the bottom end. also im currently running an is transmission. eventually ill find a good gsr trans at the right price.

Oh okay cool! And how's the gas mileage? I also have a Type-R head laying here, so was thinking maybe do a B20/Type-R combo or maybe just use the stock B20 head and swap over the manifold and cams... IDK how all that would run tho. And do you know of any good/legit places to order one online or would I just be better off sticking to local forums or CL?

I just bought a DA w/ a B20B just woundering if you know what valve cover gasket I can use since from what ive red so far about B20B's there from Honda Orthia's sold in japan not here in the US.

most b20s are from crv platforms. especially here in the states. so just buy a gasket for a crv.

The only reason I asked is because I read that if your block stamp ends in a letter its from japan and if it ends in a number its from the US but im new to all this and learning so more then likely i'm wrong so far I know I have a 1999 head had to read up on how to figure that out too come to find out its stamped over the 4th exhaust port on the head thanks for the help I was going to get a CRV one as well just wanted to ask around first. What did you do about the dip stick and tube? I noticed you had a red valve cover do you know what covers will fit my B20B?

you should through a vtec head on that b20b with all forged internals and a gsr tranny you will be nasty on the road and if you dont want to go the vtec route you can slap on a b18b1 or a1 dont matter and still own on the road also check out this video on youtube type in "integra type r vs" and the video your lookin for is a white teggy with white rims look at the last race type r goin against a b20 with a b18 head and it keeps up with it so you know that build has some potential.

no vtec heads, id rather have a dseries, lol. the best way to go is b20z bottom end/orthia(P8R) head and stage 2 cams and you have the potential to make 190 hp no problem. the only problem is the p8r heads are getting more and more rare. also if you dont want to flip the bill for a b20z you can always just get b20z pistons from nippon and it will be just as good. i do not like vtec at all, more needless mechanical bullshit. besides you can buy nonvtec cams for half as much as vtec.
