Ls vtec for sure dont spend money on a gsr, when u can have a mild built lsv for as much as u would pay for 1 although gsr trannys are better then the ls lol

Yeah and I'd rather build the lsv and get the experience from it then spend as much for the gsr. Thanks for the input!

Go lsv IF you are willing to put the time in to do it right. Do one thing wrong and your engine is screwed. Get a gsr swap if you want a smoke machine every time you hit VTEC lol

Yeah I'm definitely leaning towards Lsvtec. Thanks for the input!

Welcome aboard! Looks like a good starting point

B20v is the same as ls/v, but gives you a bit more low end torque. Opinion is the same as ls/v, if you do it right, it'll last

Tips for budget building (been working on my car since I was 16), become a master at Craigslist, learn how to find deals and what parts are really worth, an learn how to be a good salesman, both buying and selling. :thumbs up a little extra cash can be found unused laying around your room or via old parts to the right seller as well, just a thought :) don't be afraid to do things a little against the grain, sometimes it's a nice refresher to the scene an will set you apart!

I wish you luck

Thanks so much for the info! And craigslist has definitely helped me out :) I really appreciate the help.

Ps: I LOVE YOUR CAR!!! It's initially how I wanted mine to look when I first got her.

Wow great thread man! Glad to see the car coming along. It's weird because I have the same identical car, and I'm a senior in High School too, but in the Bay Area.

Wow your car is really clean!!! It's weird seeing another four door with the same color. I need a paint job badly /:
