Base Price: 2007 Honda JDM Civic Mugen RR - 4,777,500 yen / $38,750 (last update: 6/29/2007)
From September onwards, Japanese enthusiasts will be able to order what is perhaps the ultimate Civic Type-R yet. The engineers at Mugen gave the Type-R a new bodykit, upgraded brakes, a retuned suspension, new wheels and tires, and Recaro sport bucket seats. Thus equipped, the car goes by the name Honda Civic Mugen RR and is 22 lbs lighter and has 15 more horsepower under the hood.
The Civic Mugen RR, said to be based on the Honda S-GT race car, is available only in the "Milan Red" color and limited to 300 copies.

why all the sudden interest in 4dr cars lately? all the manufacturers are steering into making "bad ass" 4drs.
i have nothing against 4drs, but why are the 4dr's getting all the special treatment (two different mugen offerings in 4dr trim, NONE in 2dr) if i were to invest in a "performance sport compact" i'd invest in a 2dr or 3dr hatchback. and in my opinion, the 4dr Si looks kind of ugly. i know a lot of people like it, but i think that its body lines just look ugly.
i'm not even visually impressed with the RR sorry but on top of the ugly shape of the car, the tail lights are hideous as well. mechanically speaking, it seems amazing. but visually, it gets a big thumbs down in my opinion. very disappointed.

The sudden interest in four doors, is because a lot of the people that tune hondas are getting older.
Now they have more money due to a real job, and some are planning to have kids. So now they dont have to settle for an accord, camary, maxima, or worse (saturn) they can have a four door Si.
