I put 100 miles on the new engine with the old tune (Neptune). 3 oil flushes later, no debris on magnetic oil plug so everything looks good. Im still getting that god damn cam surge around 3k at low load. So I guess it wasn't caused by poor valve seal last year. Must be a characteristic of the cams.
I decided to switch to Hondata so I could take advantage of their Coil on Plug kit and get off this evil MSD ignition.
I manually copied over all of the fuel and ignition tables.
I doubt the fuel values will be the same but I can adjust that with the overall trim as long as the curves are consistent.
I needed proof of life on the Hondata EMS before switching the ignition over.
The engine fired up on the first try but fuel was way off.
Thats all I needed to see so now Im proceeding with the COP install using Honda K20 coils.
Clean install of the Hondata S300 v2 board. No cutting of the ECU case for the USB header.
