Why not just put the MTX tweeter behind the factory tweeter grille, it would look better. I think I know the answer, hehe. And your subs may play louder facing backwards, the bass can amplify itself by bouncing off the rear wall of the hatch. And from a handling standpoint, the car will handle a bit better with all that weight closer to the middle of the car.

they wouldnt fit with the stock tweeter grille, and the mtx ones fit right into the spots without any modification. i really dont need the subs to play louder, its stupid loud. if i turned it up all the way it would crack the hatch glass without a doubt. and it looks much better facing me, so im gonna leave it like that. im not too worried about the handling part, my car is for straight lines

My MB Quart tweets don't fit behind my factory grilles either, but I put them behind them anyway, they sit back behind the grill a little ways, but they still sound fine. I didn't screw the tweets to anything to mount them there, I just took a piece of Dynamat extreme, like a 5 inch by 5 inch piece, plopped the tweet in the middle and just stuck the whole piece to the door panel. Dynamat extreme will stick to ANYTHING, it's super sticky like pine tar. And of course, it makes a nice seal behind the tweet, keeps out noise, kills vibrations.

I worked at a private stereo joint and got Alpine, Precision Power, MB Quart, Kicker and JL Audio stuff for basic dealer cost. Dang, I wish I couldv'e gotten my stuff for 75% off! Are you an installer there?

im getting a lot of noise thru the tweeters for some reason. its directly proportional to how much gain i turn the amp up. im thinkin i need to try a new ground for the head unit :(
