Loud screetching sound when radio is turned on...

I installed the Shark Attack II antenna, and now, when the radio is turned on, there is a loud screetching sound. It's so loud that I can't listen to it. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Thanks, Vicky

I just installed my Shark II antenna yesterday. The only wires I had on mines was the antenna wire itself and a 12vdc source.
Which 12vdc source did you hook up too?
On your factory plug, you have a ground, a constant 12vdc , and a key on 12vdc source. You want the last one.
And as for ground, it looks like the cupped washer applies the ground from under the quarter panel. Mines works great.
