Spoke to a guy about buying a new transmission to swap in and when I explained my problem he said that's normal with acura automatic transmissions. He suggested that if it's becoming an annoyance to just flush the transmission and make sure to use honda ATF to help keep it smooth.

So I guess i'll just drive it as it is and flush the transmission when i can. If the tranny goes i guess i'll just deal with it when the time comes.

Thought i'd post my findings here for future searchers. I'll update if anything changes.

here's a picture of my 4runner, for the hell of it. :D
Welcome to club integra, sweet 4 runner :thumbs up

Drain the tranny fluid and put new stuff in. Honda trannies have an internal filter. I would suggest rebuilding it.

Not that I know of. The only way I learned about the filters being internal was from my grandfather because the trans on his civic had to have a new filter. He took the whole trans out and had to have Honda put the filter in.

that sucks..

something else i noticed, a loud vibration noise coming from the distributor. It doesn't actually vibrate to the touch, just sound. Once the engine heats up it stops, but is noticeable from inside and outside of the car.

Haven't tried taking the cap off yet to even look. lol, i'll get to that maybe tomorrow.

I can't imagine what would be vibrating on the distributor, except maybe a screw came out and is rattling inside of it?
I would think that would cause problems before the sound lol. You should probably remove the cap and see.

Happy thanksgiving to you too. Let us know, maybe you should put something under the cap to catch anything that might fall out. (For example, a loose screw.)
