ITR, Should I?

What do you mean chop up?
Specifically putting the JDM front end on it and swapping out the motor, totally ruined the value of that car IMHO. It may look nice but it's not stock and it's not an authentic USDM Type-R anymore. Type-R's are one of those cars in my mind you just leave as is or do some basic bolt ons so you can return it to stock if you want to.

Don't get me wrong, it looks nice and it's probably fun to drive, it's just not worth what a clean Type-R would go for to me. If I was gonna do that conversion I'd use a less valuable and less rare model.

It doesn't matter anymore. Maybe in the future JDM fronts will be scarce. There will always be more USDM front ends than JDM ones especially in the US and possibly Japan. They're strict over there and now DC2 parts are becoming rare even for them.

Sought after JDM Front and Type-R Integra will both be rare.
I know if I saw a JDM Front Integra 15 years from now I would very likely be amazed and love it.
Especially if it's an ITR.

I know that if I saw a DC2 Vined out Integra w/o a sunroof, damn... ITR.
Integra's are some of my favorite cars. I'm just a fan.

Chop up means: not the original color, and not even a usdm itr color. Not the original engine. JDM front end.... All of those things devalue the car, they don't add value.
Not a USDM ITR color, but that doesnt mean its not an ITR color. Its got a JDM front end, so why not go for a JDM ITR color code?

Im pretty sure nothing that people do to cars add to their value.

Technically its not even a JDM itr color though, its Formula Red off the s2k. But honestly I have your state of mind on this. What do you think about the car itself?

That is not a JDM ITR color... Milano red is the only color 3rd gen ITR's and those were EDM/UKDM ITR's came in that was close to red, and from the pictures it doesn't even look to be milano red.

Yeah, adding s*** to cars doesn't add value, yet a lot of people think "OMG jdm front, JDM engine, etc." On a ITR is noteworthy, when in fact it's the opposite

I'm pretty sure JDM ITRs did come in Milano Red. However as I stated above the color is not Milano Red, Its New Formula Red off an S2000. People think its noteworthy because half the time their plans for the car would be to do those mods, therefore time has been saved. I like the fact that it has a JDM B18C because the original R motor was boosted, and I sure as hell don't want a motor that was previously boosted. I also like the JDM front because I love how they look cruising down the road, especially with the yellow fogs in the center. Therefore this Type R is not only a Type R, it also has mods on it I would have attempted to do anyway. Time+Money savings ftw.

Yes there were JDM front milano red ITR's sold, but they weren't exactly "JDM", they weren't sold in Japan in red, but they were sold to other countries in red. I guess it's personal preference, but I surely wouldn't want a car that is a limited production car, with a different exterior color, not the original engine, and the whole front end of the car is different. The least he could have done is keep the original engine to give to the next owner, so they could have the actual matching vin block, so they could possibly rebuild it and restore the car.

Im not saying don't trade, im just saying it sucks that it was chopped up... certainly if I had a LS I would trade for it.... I would probably restore it back to it's original color, and probably just leave the JDM front to prevent even more chopping up lol
