when im at operating temp less than half like almost half but not really
I warm my cars up every time before I drive them for the first time that day. I NEVER got less than 300 miles out of a tank on my GSR. It was usually around 320-330.so if you let your car warm up before you drive it what do you get for to a full tank of gas?
i agree...spark plugs and wires at the least, and u should see an improvement immediately..but do the full tune up and putsome lucas gas treatment in the tank, that'll help tooa tune up may help improve on your gas mileage also.
Its good to warm up the car 10-15 min, but no longer than 15 min. Is that better ketchup?
Same here....I get atleast 250 usually 275 to 300
I just bought my first teg, a 94 ls, it's only got 100,000 miles, has fresh belts, runs perfect, but on my first tank I only got 23 miles to the gallon, which seems ridiculously low for a 4 cylinder motor. I mean, my civic got up to 40, and I know this is a dual cam, but my buddy's BMW 318 gets around 30, and that has a 1.8 litre too. Though I have a switch underneath my dash that I have no idea what it does, but it increases my idle by about 3 grand, and I hear something engaging in my engine, so whatever is switched on or not switched on might be affecting it. Are other LS's having issues too, or am I alone? How many miles to the gallon do you usually get?
Maybe you are leaking fuel??? I dont se a reason for mileage to be THAT bad, unless you are filling with 1/3 tank to go. MPG provides us with more info than miles per tank. Considering you let it run until the gas light comes on, you have about 2? gallons left in your tank. When you fill it up to the 13 gall mark, you have 200miles/11 gallons or 18.18 MPG. Its not april yet, so I hope this isnt a joke:???:dont feel bad. im barely getting 200 to a tank. and i have no mods.
