You would have better luck on CL or forums I would imagine, maybe give that a shot. Then you can just do the door inserts, or buy the red Recaro fabric ones they make. Those look pretty good.

I could. Been looking around CLs but the ones near me are pretty ratty looking. And ruins the fun of doing it myself
Looking on ebay, I'm seeing door sets in black for $100+ compared to material cost would be a bit less than that, and a bit more of a fun hands-on project. I'll keep on eye out, and make the final decision once I have the money to spend

I'm seeing also 'JDM' door panels for more money, but have no idea whats the difference between the JDM door panels and the regular ones I already have ,_,

There's a company called DCA Garage that has a s*** ton of different designs for door inserts. You just need to contact them directly to have them make it for you since they took them off their site. They still sell the red and blue Recaro ones through their eBay store though.

Took a google and those Recaro ones look clean. Some seats popped up in image search, and turned me off of completely red seats. Thinking of just going and finding straight black with red stitching. Once I have some money, I'll pick up those inserts since they do look nicer than anything I could put together.

And what you're describing for seats sounds like black ITR Recaros.

Steer clear of the many knock offs, they're garbage.

And those Black Recaros look perfect for what I had in my mind. Though, are bucket seats a good idea for a daily driver and non-track car?


EDIT: Zoomed in on the pictures, and you were right 94LS. Switches are switched on which side they are on. So useless for me.

You should be fine with those seats in a DD, plenty of people have them in their cars and they were OEM on the JDM Type-R, so there should be a spot for the seatbelts to bolt on.

Haha. I was in the normal reply and couldn't see your name clearly. And I'd have to match the Recaro front seats to the back seats, and found these

So looks like I have a bit of saving to do before getting to my seats, but I'd want to get my dash/panels/carpet all done first, to avoid having to pull everything out again.

I need to take a look at the carpet to see if its in good enough condition so I can maybe dye it black (I really don't want a bright red carpet that will get dirty easily)

Op, keep an eye on the FS threads on here and Honda-Tech, Type-R rears pop up every now and then for much cheaper than that eBay listing.

Will keep an eye out. Im heading to Pick Your Part to go grab a pair of beat up panels for my 94 to play with and re-vinyl. If I can replace the vinyl and have it be cheaper than Type-R black door panels, all the more money saved for other projects
