I put mine in the stock radio location, it had room still to tilt to the position I wanted it in
ill get ya a link, i bough it used like 2 yrs ago BUT it didnt have anything with it like the rca cables for the subs, those where $35 bucks, then iPod adapter was $85 so its good now. I just want to upgrade, only thing it doesnt charge Iphone or iPod toch. it will work but just doesnt charge them, all the older models it WILL charge tho. i have a 30g ipod video and it works like a champI cant really say i'm into car audio now, but trying to get into it..I'm getting two JL 10 or 12 in subs in a sealed box. I'm going for tight bass with no distortion so thats why I'm buying JL's and the sealed box is for the same reason. I'm going to be paying $400+ for those and then another $300 or so for the amp to power them so i definitely didnt want to go small for the head unit. Id consider $350 shipped for yours but it would help if you found out the model name so i could compare the price and features and stuff..? Thanks for the help man
hey OP why go with a sealed.....don't get me wrong to each there own but I'm a total bass junkie and imo a ported box will sound better and push out some more bass since there's no air restriction
I was thinking sealed box because ive heard that:
sealed=better quality and tighter sounding bass (less distrotion)
ported=louder bass
I dont really need bass that shakes the neighbors houses but i do want nice sound that can be heard around my car at least..I definitely don't want to make any sacrifices in sound quality. Any distortion that blocks out song lyrics is bad even if that means louder bass. Is sealed a good idea or is ported still better?
Honestly it's all about what you want....I've had sealed boxes before and now I'll just stick with a port....also make sure if you find the subs you want you get a box that's gonna match up to the specs for airspace it helps out alot
