I'm painting my rims today

What did you use to sand it down? I'm gonna paint some wheels I have soon too.

so I finished the painting part

I'm just letting it completely dry, going to do a close inspection to make sure I didn't miss any spots, then hit it with some clear coat

I know I went from gold to gold but it's pretty much exactly what I wanted. I didn't want a drastic color change, I wanted a bit darker and a better finish. We'll see what they look like with some clear coat though.
