I'm painting my rims today

I decided to go with a gold flake kind of gold. It's not going to be the flat gold like I had before and it's going to be a bit darker... I hope...

I'll save the green rims for my track rims.

oh well, I'll let it dry, sand it a bit, then paint over it

that will be easy to feather out. shouldn't take you more than a few minutes. hit it with some 300g, then smooth it out with 600, then 800.

ya, its just the waiting till it dries part that will suck. I'm also doing 1 rim at a time so its time to watch The Office and have some lunch

I'm just letting it completely dry, going to do a close inspection to make sure I didn't miss any spots, then hit it with some clear coat

I know I went from gold to gold but it's pretty much exactly what I wanted. I didn't want a drastic color change, I wanted a bit darker and a better finish. We'll see what they look like with some clear coat though.

Why one at a time?

lack of supplies, lack of room, shouldn't take too long to get the other 3 done though. It took pretty long for this one because I had to stop and take a look at my friends Jetta's "exhaust problem"

His flex pipe had completely snapped. Sucks to be him I guess though.

Since I had some cheap eBay kind that snapped on me, I ordered some Skunk2 lugs. I'm not going to paint them like I did my old ones. Oh the lessons I've learned.
