well i was comming home on I-55 like @ 11 am... I was happy because i was gonna go c sum girl @ mah old H.S and well the weather is nice outsise and i had the music loud and my roof open.. and like 2 exits before mine I saw a cop behind me I was like FUCKKKKK (i have no plates.. no insurance) so he pulled me over and he asked me y i was going so fast?? i didnt even noticed i was going over 100... i was going just a lil bit faster than everyone else... well i was like i have to go to the pipis room bad... so he asked me 4 my insurance and if those were the plates 4 the car... so i was like no.. so i told him that i was just taking the ca home because it just came out from the body shop and i was going to put it in my garage cus my uncle didnt want it in his....(which is true) so he came back like 15 min later and he gave me a "warning" he put i was going 64 on a 55 limit and gave me 2 tickets 1 2 driving with out plates and 1 for the insurance... i have 2 go 2 court on march 18 :???: it sucks... ne 1 kno about how much am i gonna have 2 pay???

ouch dude, he didnt put the fine on the ticket?

i've called my local policestation and courthouse for legal advice about tickets before, they were very helpfull

yea it could be up to the courts to decide on how much the tickets will be, since driving with out insurance is a huge deal in Illinois.

damp u a lucky Fker . i was driving my Bro teg about 2 years ago and got pulled over for no insurance and registration and they pounded the car and put my black ass in jail...

the cop was being a dick tho ... cuz he was being pressured by his superiors i guess .. i over heard him talking to his compardrea..

I know.. but not only that... he didnt gave me a speeding ticket... he gave me a warning.... 65 on a 55 speed limit not 105 on a 55... which is really good because now when i go c the judge.. imma show him the pics of my accident and imma tell him that i was just driving it home because my uncle needed the money he lended to me so that im going to sell it... hopefully he drops the charges... i rather pay 150 for both tickes hopefully he wont raise the cost

Usually, if you go and get insurance before you go to court, the judge will sign it off as a proof of correction. Same goes for the plates. If you get the paperwork from your DMV, take it to court and more than likely, they will sign that off too. If you go to arraignment and plead not guilty, and then the cop shows up at the trial, you'll have to pay the full amount if you don't have any proof of correction because the cops argument will win in this case. And the cops DO show up because they get paid for it. Take my advice. I've been to traffic court almost a dozen times in 5 years for stupid stuff and have "played" the system almost every time. Sometimes, you can't play the system, but the odds are in your favor considering your circumstances.
Go get some plates and insurance, and you'll probably pay under $200 w/ proof of correction. If you don't fix it and just pay the fines, it will cost you at least $1,000 bucks just for the insurance.
