I can vouch for OBX mufflers.... i bought one off of EBAY.... very reasonable prices... and quality of muffler is good as well.. very deep sounding... and i would purchase again if i had to do over. You will just have to take it to a muffler shop to have it welded on.

Can anyone recommend a muffler that doesnt sounds too loud? (like NOT RICER Loud)
Kinda wanting a muffler that sounds nice when idle at a light but gives a huge punch when hitting gas and shifting and
when downshifting it gives one of those downshift muffler noises?

Im really sorry im not too knowledgeable about mufflers and what different ones sound like.

I have a full greddy exhaust on my GSR/itr and its got a very clean deep hum in the low rpms and once i hit VTEC it gets a very loud but clean sound. i have 2 resonators that make it rasp free im just sayin the greddy evo2 on integras sounds really nice. but if you save like another 20-30 bucks and throw some resonators under there you'll have a crisp nice sounding exhaust like me

Skunk2 mega power muffler, 2.25" custom catback exhaust with the resonator, sounds good all thru the rev range, quiet when you're off the throttle, and semi noisy when in vtec, but still quiet enough to not get bugged by cops

You can go on ebay and buy mufflers for $30 I would recommend them to you unless you were a rice burner like me8)

Agree %100 i had a full 2.5 inch exhaust built using this muffler (vibrant street power) and a high flow cat, the whole system was about $350 with labor but am very happy With it it has a nice deep idle and deep tone throughout the powerband the muffler on its own was $130 and as far as power gains I've never had it on a dyno but i did notice a significantly harder pull around 45-5k rpm

for 250 you can get a full exhaust from yonaka which is not rice at all and quiet.

wow another age old thread brought back by some new member and a rice burner like you IS who uses $30 ebay mufflers.
