Nothing bigger than 16" IMO. Also, drop it an inch or two.

I was thinking going Tein Flex or SS.

I would recommend to decide on your wheel and tire combination first. Keep in mind that larger wheels mean lower profile tires to keep from increasing your wheel diameter. You will feel the difference in handling and the road surface of the road. My 97 LS has 18" Tenzo R SHU4's and 35 series rubber bands.

I'm not sure about ride quality or anything, but Tein makes good stuff. You know you're getting something great quality with Tein.
