How To: Install new horn.

BeatBox

Real Good!
I put a set of Hella Supertones in mine. Would love to go with the horn blasters, but dont need all that extra crap in the car.
:thumbs up: i too got a set on mine!

only difference between this write up and mine as far as the stock horn was that mine only had one wire running to the stock horn instead of two like in the pics.

one single wire to power it

and it grounded itself when you bolted it on to the car

either way good write up and very easy to do!

Honestly I know nothing about quick releases and how to wire up horns for them. Although you could just custom wire a button and setup. I would go through some popular build threads and look for guys with the quick release and just ask from there. Good luck.

i have the same horn an it sucks. not very loud. i had to wire a new button cuz when i got the car it had a shitty ebay ricer steering wheel and was missing the reel for the horn an cruise control stuff. junk yard horns might be a good idea i saw someone said he got some volvo horns i might try that great write up!!

Hello there, sorry this is a newb question but after i took off the oem horn. there's only one wire which was the dark blue one. How come I don't have the yellowish wire? & I bought the same horn as you from Autozone. Thank you in advance!

^ Your horn is grounded through the chassis. Get a short run of wire with a female spade on one end and a ring terminal on the other. Hook the spade to the negative on your horn, and put the ring terminal over the bolt for the horn when you bolt the horn on. Should work fine.
