Honda just knows how to do both. My integra sips gas on the street, but guzzles it at the track. :p Technology. 32 MPG highway, and like 8 mpg track. hahah

Typical honda fanboy, worried about efficiency pffft. Racecars don't worry about efficiency.

True but the Miata, Rx7, Rx8, and Mazdaspeed 3 have all been really good cars.
Actually they haven't. Mazda Rx7 and Rx8 are not really good cars. They require an insane amount of maintenance and also are inefficient as I said.

The speed 3 is actually a really good platform. What they should have done was offered the Rx8(Under different name) with the speed3 engine. Now that would have been a damn good car.

I am not a Honda fanboy. I just look at the whole picture when choosing a car. Mazda can be fun, but they are prone to issues, specifically their race platforms.

Well I can see where you are coming from. I was more meaning from a performance aspect.

I also agree, they Rx7 and Rx8 would be much better with a piston engine.

Subarus, Subarus are a waste of money. Shitty interior, the cost a ton, and I think their boxer engine sucks.
-Sorry Rachel.

The reason boxer engines are not that great is simple. Inline motors are the best and most efficient. End of story. Inline 4 beats boxer and v4, inline 6 beats v6....and in most cases even v8. Etc. Want proof? Cummins Diesel, 4G63, BMW M3(except the S65).

Flat motors are good for lowering the center of gravity as low as possible, which gives handling gains, but in terms of engine efficiency it is horrible. A straight 6 would perform better.

I am not providing numerical facts though, just so we are clear, but they are out there. For those who are actually curious they can do their own research to find the numbers. For the purpose of this topic I find busting out numerical values and cost analysis just silly. I am just saying this as a disclaimer that outsiders reading this should not just take my word for it, but do independent research to verify.
