How to fix shift boot that fell

How can I fix this?

take off the shift knob and pull the boot up till it wont go anymore then put the knob back on that did the trick for me when i put my new shifter in

i just went to the hardware store and bought a little rubber grommet that had a hole in the middle...almost like a gasget of some sort...and i slid it over the shift stick w/ the knob off and stretched the boot over it so it was inside the boot but held it up and i put the knob back on! The boot never falls anymore and is always up against the knob like it's suppost to be.

pick up the leather..pull it upward all t he way up..(pretty much turning it upside down....so you can get under the leather)..so that the ring holding the leather is under the shift knob get some zip ties and hold it in place.

it works really well in my head. see if it works for you

I understand that part, but it's not sagging for the top like that. It's the part on the bottom.

Appearently there's four brackets holding it up in place? Well, 3 I guess are broken.

It's this thing that is not attached anymore. I can't find out how to put it back up there. I ripped apart of the leather by pulling it. Fuck.







Maybe this is a good reason to upgrade to this

That's how mine happened. I pulled it back because it was only one corner. Now I got my car back from my mom and I found it like that. :evil:
