nice post, i already knew about the right not to have them search but i liked that move he made locking the doors when leaving the car
just my tip....when u get pulled over stop the car and put the keys in your pocket, because if the car is running and they ask u to put the keys on the dash , when they tell u to exit the car and you go to grab the keys to lock the doors, they might get real suspect as if your gonna make a run for it
i was pulled over once and the pig wanted to search my car, oh and the reason why i was pulled over was because of my seatbelt, no indication of drugs at all, i think it was because my friends were black/rican (im rican but look like a white boy) i said no just because 1 of them is a lil pothead and might have a blunt on him, even though he threatened me with a searchdog i refused. he said he would be right back as if he was calling for back up for the dogs and just ended up writing me 2 tickets (seatbelt and front license plate not properly mounted)

Some states can have a different policy I thought. All baised around that "reasonalbe cause" bullshit. Think about it.... if you say "No, you cant search my car." That means your most likely hiding something (in the cops eyes), aka "reasonable cause." They can violate your rights in any state remember that it is your word against the officer of the law. Your case that you said no is pretty weak not many car stop cases go to the supreme court of the USA plus if they really want to put the screws to you they can and shoot you in the escape attempt. Dead man tell no tails still applies. Like the warning said if it is private keep it private and out of sight, Now with Homeland Security who knows what nonsense they can make up. They shot a guy in his own home in a search warrent with the worng address and got away with an opps and then they blasted a guy in the face in a case of mistaken identiy in his car on a stop because the FBI guy move quick in the car.

Ive always thought about putting a camara in my car JUST for this reason. It could double as a theft cam too. Just get a button cam, and some recorder hiding in the spare tire. You can get the cams EASY too. Also fairly cheap

Yea, but thats a cam IN THE COP CAR. How easy would it be for the tape to have beeen "Out of repair." Or be missing audio due too other "miss repair." See they can get rid of that tape if they have too.
