How many of you guys fix up your own cars?

I have done most the stuff myself with a friend but I haven't done engine work. I can do plugs and I could do a granny swap and stuff if i had the tools and space. It's going in the shop soon though. Couldn't get rear strut bolts off and pretty much comes down to tools and me being fed up atm. LOL

I don't know much about these cars and also don't do any of my own work. Not even sure how to change my own oil.

I never let anyone even think about touching my car. That way if anything goes wrong you can only blame yourself. And there's that old saying, "if ya want something done right, do it yourself."

I rarely do anything to my Integra lately. After fixing everyone else's Honda all day long, the last thing I want to do is work on a damn Honda(my CBR being the exception to this rule).

I've always done all my own work outside of mounting and balancing tires. I don't have the equipment for that. Oh and tuning. I don't want to blow my car up so I'll leave it to the pros.

Anything from maintenance to mods. I've bought tools as I went when I needed them and now the only left that I haven't done is a full engine rebuild.. Because ive had no reason to do it.

The only reason I do it myself is because I'm broke all the time and my first car was a total pos that spent more time on stands then on the road.

I dont want to be that guy, but compared to most other cars this age, and especially vs. modern cars, these things are like legos. They are some of the most simple, easily fixed, easily modded cars around. No reason to bring it to a shop unless machining is involved (for tolerance purposes) just my ::2cents

I try to do most things that don't require air tools, cuz I don't have any. Nor do I have a garage or a lift, so that limits me some too.

Been fixing my own cars for the past three years. Only time I had a shop do it was for stud replacement
