Fuel rail is not gonna do anything fo ya, the stock one is good for about 400 hp, the I/M either youre losing power with that on, sell those two thing and get some ctr cams and some cam gears, chip your ecu rev limit 8500 and a good tune session and a tune up (5hp guaranteed) :D and call your friend back

Throttle body wont really add much power either.

There is a guy that has an intake and an exhaust on his SOHC, next he drops a throttle body on his stock IM. :what:

What IM do you have on your GSR?

your killin your power with tha intake manifold man and alot of the stuff you have doesnt really add power just looks nice, you both may be good drivers but remeber theres always someone out there better then you thats why you keep gettin better so you can take him out and look for the next competitor lol

Maybe he drove better in the race. Maybe he has more mods than he told you. Could be alot of things, but like the other guys said, that IM and TB isn't helping you out in making your car faster. An aftermarket intake and TB on an engine with stock cams and a stock valvetrain is slowing down your intake airflow speed, your not reaching peak volumetric efficiency until much higher in the rpm range, if your even hitting it at all. Your increasing the volume of air but slowing the down speed of the air. The stock cams can only feed a finite amount of air to the cylinders, the valves are only being lifted so high and kept open for so long. You need higher lift cams that hold the valves open longer and lift them higher to feed all this air into the cylinders that your IM and TB are giving it.

What IM are you using, and what size TB? Is the diameter of the TB and the diameter of the IM's intake port the same?

aren't the 94-96 gsr's stronger then the 97-01 gsr's? i'm pretty sure they are
its 94-95 and the reason is obd1.

Sometimes people do get factory freaks. There was this kid on clubcivic that was hitting 15.5 in a fuckin 95 civic ex with intake / header / exhaust, otherwise it was a stock d16z6 ... then he threw on a chipped ecu and brought it down to 15.2. I was at the track the day he pulled the 15.2.

Then my friend has a 95 integra ls with I/H/E and high flow cat and his best is a 15.04 @ 92 full interior i dont know how hes pulling those times cause most other folks with ls ive heard run high 15s. I havent been to the track with mine so i dont know, but mine does seem a little weaker than a 94 ls i test drove that just had intake and custom catback with no resonator.

Remember though these runs are all around 30 ft or so above sea level, sac raceway.

That's a myth.
94-95 Tegs are OBD1, which means the emissions controls are less strict than Tegs 96-01 which are OBD2. All B18C1's in all G3 GSR's are identical, just different ECU controls.

yea but since the emissions controls are less strict they put out a little more emissions so they arent as restricted so they run a little bit better right?
