without tearing into the bottom end, you are not going to run 11s a lot without severly risking engine failure. i have seen stock ls motors that are turbocharged run 12s and 11s, but once you get into the 11s on the stock motor, it can only take so much abuse. with the simple addition of forged pistons and rods you can run 11s a lot safer. and if you get the vtec head like you said, 11s should be no problem. you could probably did into the tens with forged pistons and rods and a gsr head

what kind of cams cam gears etc do you prefer?
