If you plan on getting an axle-back exhaust, invest in custom piping.
It's cheaper than buying the complete catback system and just as effective.
$250 is a decent deal for an axle-back.
APEXi N1s sell for $200.

Depends on who you get to do the welding for you plus the price of the bends pipes, hangers, flanges, gaskets, etc. Individual bends usually aren't that much by themselves but then again usually there's more then one bend you need to get. If you can find a shop with a mandrel, they can prolly bend their own piping for a solid midpipe to the HKS. It should not cost any more than the axle back but might be dif. in your area.

Yeah, it really all depends on who you have do it. Muffler shops don't usually charge a whole lot.

This is what you do:
Buy the axle-back of your choice.
Take it to the muffler shop.
Tell them that you want custom piping, slightly larger than stock and as straight as possible to the axleback.
Pay for whatever it costs.
It's cheaper than the catback and will produce as good results.
