High flow cat question

Please do not comment on this just to give me grief...ive tried searching and even tried pm'ing some of you.

heres the deal. i have a 99 gsr and just picked up an itr header. i realize the header is longer and need a high flow cat. the trouble im having is in choosing which one to get. Ive narrowed it down to magnaflow or Vibrant Performance but im not sure what sizes i need as far as length is concerned. and i learned that i can just get a 2.5 in/out cat converter and just use my 2.25 in flange thats on my stock cat, have it cut and welded and be on my way.
any help would be awesome as im getting a little frustrated because ive searched and searched but no one definitively answers the question.

thanks

USDM itr header? You'll need a shorter cat so you should get measurements and do the math. You might need to adjust some length anyways as your mixing the parts around and may not even have a cat you can buy per a non standard application.

a test pipe would put me in the same predicament wouldnt it? but i think a one foot or 13 inch would suffice....ordering from advance auto parts!

Just get their universal high flow from magnaflow, I remember it being shorter and having to add length to get it to fit my car
