BMW's have 4300K stock. Manufacturers install HID's to increase visibility, not to look cool. There would be no benefit for them to run 8000K.8k is blue like in bmw's

visually its white but its where it starts to turn blue. HIDs are rated on the Kelven scale and look back at the bottom of page 2 to view the kelven color scale. its got a hint of blue but our eyes correct it and it makes it seem white dont question me, its the truth im an art major trust me i deal with this stuff when i light film sets.15K!?!!? they would be straigh purple lol, get 6-8k's

lawls i believe you. cuz sometimes when i see hids from a distance the light hitting my eyes is white but there is a blue almost violet halo around it.visually its white but its where it starts to turn blue.
