But I must wonder just how he intended to "revalve" a set of springs. You have either completely discredited your claim to knowledge and understanding, or possess an unheard of technology.
For future reference, 10K/8K and other such denominations are a measurement of spring stiffness. It has zero to do with a shock, strut or any of the parts they may contain.
